Senior Manager of Finance
Description
The Finance Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing financial accounting operations, internal and external reporting, and financial forecast and analysis functions. This role will lead a team to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, robust forecasting, and insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency across the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee and ensure the accurate and timely completion of all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, activity-based costing, and variance analysis.
- Identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights and recommendations to support business strategies and operational improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather inputs, build financial models, and analyze assumptions.
- Provide clear and concise commentary on financial performance, variances, and trends.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Proactively identify and evaluate opportunities to apply AI and automation technologies to streamline financial processes, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency within the finance department.
- Assist in the preparation and review of corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Fulfill request of external quarterly review and annual audit.
- Assist with special projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Proficient in MS office, especially excel (must be familiar with different kinds of functions for analysis).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Computer industry work experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven expertise in month-end closing, cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication skill of Chinese/ Mandarin is a plus.
$150,000 - $170,000 annually is the estimated pay range for this role working in Fremont, California office. It does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, & 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on the qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
